Sarah Stamboulie

Sarah Stamboulie has been advising individuals and businesses on career and human resources issues for more than 15 years. She currently heads Stamboulie Career Consulting, a thriving career consulting business based in Manhattan. Prior to this, Sarah led Alumni Career Services at Columbia Business School, overseeing career programming and resources for 36,000 alumni throughout the world.

In her executive coaching practice, Sarah helps executives move to higher levels of leadership by helping them fine-tune their strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills, as well as boost their visibility within their organization and industry. In the area of transition coaching, Sarah’s assistance has helped clients more quickly land positions in a wide range of industries and functional areas, including investment banking and investment management, private equity, management consulting, real estate, consumer products, media, technology, business development, human resources management, and not-for-profit management. Stamboulie Career Consulting contracts with a number of top-ranked business schools to coach their alumni as they advance in their careers.

Called upon to speak at a variety of corporate and non-profit functions, Sarah is an entertaining and motivational speaker who brings both strong content knowledge and plenty of humor to every event. She has the depth of knowledge and experience to engage her audience and field questions in all areas of career development and human resources. Sarah has recently appeared on CBS Moneywatch and Fox 5 News, and has presented to the membership of BlueSteps and IvyExec. She has also presented to the alumni of Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, and New York University, and recent corporate clients include JPMorgan, ING, and CBS Corporation.

Sarah is in demand as a human resources consultant due to her extensive experience leading human resources organizations, having served as the head of Human Resources at both Cantor Fitzgerald and Morgan Stanley Trust Company. Earlier in her career she managed human resources and created training programs for Nortel Networks and a number of not-for-profit organizations.

Professional affiliations include the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York, BlueSteps, and IvyExec. Sarah is also a member of the Association for Psychological Type International and is certified to administer Myers-Briggs assessments.

She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Vassar College.
